What to expect at the Marrakech pottery workshop

The session lasts 1.5 hours: it’s short, but enough time to shape an entire piece with the help of our artisans. No passive demonstration-you’ll be at the wheel from the very first minutes. The format is designed for visitors who want to get their hands on the material.

The Fekhara District and Marrakech Ceramics

For centuries, the Fekhara district has been home to potters’ kilns and workshops. Traditional terracotta is distinguished by its warm colors and clean lines, inherited from a long tradition. The Artekech workshop carries on this expertise by combining wheel-throwing techniques with contemporary finishes. The kilns in Fekhara still use wood-fired heating for certain firings, and the neighborhood retains its rhythm of artisans who have worked side by side for generations.

Who is this Marrakech pottery workshop for?

No prior experience is required. The session is suitable for adults as well as children ages 7 and up when accompanied by an adult. Capacity is limited to 10 participants to ensure attentive guidance. The fired piece is ready in 48 to 72 hours and can be picked up at the workshop or shipped to your hotel.
