Morocco, the local way
Essaouira moves with the wind.
The blue city, its Portuguese ramparts, its Gnawa music and its thuya woodcraft. We take you behind the postcard.
Three hours from Agadir or Marrakech, and everything slows down. If you want Morocco, ocean side and arts side, this is it.
Why Essaouira
What we love here
Wind, a friend of riders
The trade winds make Essaouira a world-class kitesurf and windsurf spot. We work with schools that handle beginners and seasoned riders alike.
Thuya wood, hands-on
Essaouira's woodworkers shape a tree that grows nowhere else. Small-group workshops, fragrant sawdust, precise gestures.
The Gnawa soul
Centuries-old music, deep colours, a touch of trance. We arrange a real meeting with a maâlem, not a dinner-show.
A medina on a human scale
Small, white, ventilated. You can cross it in fifteen minutes and come back twenty times without tiring.

Good to know
What people ask us about Essaouira
Do I need sailing experience to try kitesurf in Essaouira?
No. The schools we work with start from scratch: we learn on land first, then in the water, in small groups or one-to-one.
How do I get there from Agadir or Marrakech?
Three hours from Marrakech, two and a half from Agadir. Daily CTM or Supratours buses, or a private taxi. We can arrange transfers on request.
What's the best season for Essaouira?
April to October for wind and water sports. November to March is calmer, ideal for workshops and the medina.
Are craft workshops kid-friendly?
Yes, from age 7-8 depending on the workshop. Kids love the wood and cooking ones. We adapt tools and duration.
What languages do your guides speak?
French, English and Arabic by default. Spanish on request. Specify when booking.
Can I combine a workshop and a beach activity in one day?
Yes, and we recommend it: craft in the morning when the medina is quiet, ocean in the afternoon when the wind picks up. Drop us a line and we'll plan the flow.
