Our excursion to the Little Desert (Sahara) from Agadir begins at daybreak. The 4x4 leaves the city, and the salty scent of the Atlantic coast quickly gives way to the dry, hot air of the south. You hear the sound of the engine on the track and the wind whistling through the windows. This is neither a bus tour nor a quick photo stop. It’s a full day for you or your group, connecting directly with the local communities along the route.

Our driver-guide adapts the pace and order of stops according to the season. The itinerary remains the same. We head inland toward the dry lands, stop at artisans’ workshops, cross the Souss-Massa Park, share a lunch, then return via the coast.

• Departure from Agadir around 8:30 AM, pickup at your accommodation

• Stop at a traditional pottery workshop run by local potters

• Drive through Souss-Massa National Park and the wadi where ibises and flamingos gather

• Return via the Youssef Ben Tachfine reservoir, arrival in Agadir around 5:00 PM

Lunch with a Bedouin family in the Little Sahara

Halfway through the trip, we stop at the home of a Bedouin family in the Little Sahara. Partner of Immersi en direct. No restaurant for tour buses. No middlemen. A traditional Moroccan lunch consisting of a tagine and couscous prepared in-house. Served with seasonal fruit and mint tea. This is also a chance to take a break and catch your breath before heading to the dunes.

Who is this Little Sahara excursion from Agadir for?

The excursion is suitable for adults, couples, families with children ages 6 and up, and small groups (maximum 12 people). No specific physical fitness is required. The walks are short; the 4x4 handles most of the journey. Not recommended for people with limited mobility. Departure is from Agadir or Taghazout with pickup included from your accommodation.

Team Tip

Bring closed-toe shoes, a scarf, or a hat to protect against the wind in the dunes. Sunscreen and a camera are recommended. A small tip for the host family is appreciated but not required.
