Full description
The villa’s door opens to the scent of mint tea and freshly ground spices. This Moroccan cooking class in Agadir takes place at Samira’s home, in a modern and welcoming villa, far from impersonal classrooms and overly touristy experiences. Here, you don’t just follow a recipe: you discover a generous, fragrant family cuisine, made above all to be shared.
A dish you choose yourself
One of the great perks of this experience: you choose the dish you want to prepare. Up to one day before the workshop, simply send us a message with your choice: tagine, couscous, rifa, or another Moroccan specialty. This way, you’ll cook a dish you truly love, making the experience much more personal.
The workshop schedule
Allow 5 hours, including transportation, at a leisurely pace: we take the time to understand what we’re cooking, rather than simply following steps.
- Pickup from your accommodation in Agadir and drive to the villa
- Welcome with Moroccan tea or a cup of coffee
- Workshop exploring Moroccan spices: aromas, uses, and pairings
- Preparation of your dish using organic meats and vegetables
- Tasting of the meal you’ve prepared, served at a beautifully set table
- Return to your accommodation in Agadir
The Spice Workshop
Before heading into the kitchen, Samira introduces you to Moroccan spices: their aromas, uses, pairings, and what gives Moroccan cuisine so much character. Cumin, ginger, turmeric, ras el hanout: you’ll learn to recognize and measure them-skills you’ll keep long after your trip.
Samira’s Kitchen
With Samira, you’ll take the time to cook just like at home, in a relaxed atmosphere, using high-quality ingredients. Whether you’re a cooking enthusiast or simply curious, she’ll guide you step by step, with simplicity and generosity. At the end of the workshop, you’ll enjoy the meal you’ve prepared in an elegant and friendly setting: a moment to relax, chat, taste, and experience Moroccan cuisine as it’s truly meant to be shared.
Who is it for?
The workshop is suitable for adults, couples, and families with children (child rate available). No cooking experience is required. The group is limited to 6 participants so that Samira can guide each person individually. Round-trip transportation from Agadir is included, so you can enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics.
Team Tip
Give rfissa a try: it’s the dish served in Morocco on special occasions, and one you rarely find in restaurants. If you prefer a classic, check out our traditional couscous class with Salma, centered around the Friday meal.
Meet your artisan

Samira
Partner artisanSamira welcomes guests into her home-a modern, well-kept villa in Agadir-just as Moroccans do: with a welcome cup of tea, a bountiful spread, and home-style cooking passed down through the women of the family. Her signature touch is the time she takes: before cooking, she lets guests smell and taste the spices, explaining their uses and combinations, so that everyone understands what they’re putting in their dish. She cooks with organic meats and vegetables, and tailors each workshop to the dish chosen by her guests, from tagine to couscous to rfissa. For her, hosting travelers at her table is a way to share Moroccan cuisine as it’s truly lived: homemade, fragrant, and offered with generosity.
